IN APRIL : PRINTIVAL BOBY LAPOINTE IN PEZENAS

Every year, this festival celebrates French song in all diversity.

Boby Lapointe is the little guy born in Pézenas in the 20s, the local child, a poet in love with puns and other contrepèteries that has influenced generations of musicians.
Created in 2000 at the initiative of his son Jacky, Printival Boby Lapointe has always had the French song in the depths of his DNA.

A story of family and sharing. For the past ten years, Dany Lapointe, a former nurse and volunteer, has held the reins of the festival while developing her programming.

IN MAY

– 1^st Sunday of May : THE FAIR OF COLORS of PAULHAN, a circular village tracing over 1000 years of history…

– Week-end of the Ascension: FETE OF DONKEY MARTIN – GIGNAC.

IN JUNE

– Mid-June: TRANSHUMANCE goes to GIGNAC. Come follow the herd from the GIGNAC suspension bridge towards MONTPEYROUX.

The departure takes place at the end of the afternoon at 17 H.

The arrival of the herd on the village square of MONTPEYROUX is scheduled around 18 H 30, followed by an aperitif offered by the town hall and a friendly evening with the shepherds,
with meals from the bag to share with neighbors and musical entertainment.

– 21 June: THE FESTIVAL OF MUSIC IN GIGNAC.

IN JULY

– 13 July: THE RETREAT IN THE FLAMBEAUX IN GIGNAC
– 14 July: THE NATIONAL PARTY & FIREWORKS IN GIGNAC
– Mid-July: THE LODEVE CAVALCADE. This tradition brings together for more than a century all lodèvois in an atmosphere of family celebration.
Many floats, brass bands, music companies from all regions and countries make this splendid corso.

IN AUGUST

– The first Thursday of August: THE FIRE OF ARTIFICE ON LAKE SALAGOU
Display on Lake Salagou, Clermont l’Hérault side, is a highlight of the summer for the thousands of spectators who come every year to admire this show.
It begins at dusk around 22 Hours.

– During 6 days around August 25: JOUTES at SETE for the SAINT-LOUIS FESTIVAL
Nautical jousting (from the end of June to the beginning of September), more than a sport, beyond folklore and tradition, reflects the soul of the Sète.
Traditional festival to the glory of King Louis XIV, founder of the city of SETE and nautical jousts Languedoc.
SAINT LOUIS brings together tens of thousands of enthusiasts every year. For 6 days around August 25, Saint Louis day, tournaments of jousts at the Royal Cadre, animations,
concerts, exhibitions, parades, crossing of SETE to the swimming, punctuate the festivities which are concluded by the big fireworks shot from the breakwater.
